This German band has been delivering powerful progressive metal with captivating melodies and virtuosic guitar work since the 1990s. A must-see for fans of Dream Theater, Threshold, and Vanden Plas. Discover why Poverty’s No Crime has been a cornerstone of the European prog metal scene for years!

ALTESIA

PROG / METAL/ JAZZ/ FUNK / DEATH METAL (FRA)
Altesia is a progressive metal band from Bordeaux, founded in 2017 by Clément Darrieu. Their music weaves through genres such as progressive rock, metal, jazz, funk, and even death metal. After their debut album Paragon Circus (2019), the band released the acclaimed Embryo in 2021 and toured across France. Now, they’re gearing up for their third release: The Somnambulist. Altesia blends calm atmospheres with powerful, intense music that pulls you in from start to finish.

SCARLET STORIES

PROG / HEAVY METAL / AMBIENT / DOOM (NL)
Scarlet Stories from Tilburg is known for their dark, progressive music influenced by heavy metal, ambient, film scores, and doom. In 2019, they released their debut album Necrologies, which received high praise from NRC, iO Pages, and Aardschok. Produced by Joost van den Broek (Ayreon, Powerwolf), the album is a tribute to the victims of human greed. Now performing with a full lineup, the band has supported acts such as Antimatter and KLONE, and won the iO Pages Prog Award in 2019.

HACKBERRY

PROG ROCK / STONER / METAL / PSYCHEDELICA (NL)
The five-piece band Hackberry from Groningen blends progressive rock, stoner, metal, and psychedelia with complex time signatures and surprising tempo changes. Following their EP Desert Orchid and debut album Hackberry, the band released Breathing Space in 2023, which received glowing reviews from the prog community. They've previously performed at our venue, as well as at festivals like Into the Void and ProgPower Europe—where Aardschok wrote: “Hackberry keeps instrumental songs exciting, even after 10 minutes.”

REDIKIN

HEAVY ROCK / POP METAL (NL)
This Delft-based band is known for their grooving heavy rock with a danceable edge. They blend heavy guitars, pounding drums, and catchy melodies into an irresistible live experience. Their lyrics cover a wide range of themes, from existential topics like death and detachment to lighter subjects like baking chocolate cakes.

NEO PROG ROCK (UK)
SPECIAL FREQUENCY  SET - This year, they’re not only taking the stage in December for our traditional X-Mas Bash, but also at ProgDreams with a very special show. Guitarist Mike Holmes and company will perform the entire Frequency album—plus some surprises—during a two-hour set! Released in 2009, Frequency is the band’s tenth studio album and marks a significant phase in their musical evolution: a powerful return to their progressive rock roots, featuring captivating melodies and layered compositions. It blends classic prog influences with a fresh, energetic sound that resonates with both longtime and new fans.

Sylvan, the progressive rock band from Hamburg, is celebrating their impressive musical journey in 2025 with an exclusive festival tour. With over 20 years of experience, ten acclaimed albums, and legendary live performances, the band has built a loyal fanbase. Expect a stunning setlist featuring their most popular songs, showcasing their unique blend of atmospheric soundscapes, intricate arrangements, and profound lyrics.

FREEDOM TO GLIDE

SYMFO ROCK / CROSSOVER PROG (UK)
The collaboration between Nixon and Riley creates the unique sound of f2g, which combines the grandeur of progressive rock with the depth of singer-songwriter music. Their concept albums, such as Rain, Fall, Seed, and The Chronicle of Stolen Souls, are praised for their thematic depth and explore the human experience of war and the human spirit through time. The personal songwriting contributes to a larger narrative about the human condition.

CHEETO'S MAGAZINE

CROSSOVER PROG / JAZZ / SWING / ELEKTRONICA / GLAM (SPA)
Cheeto’s Magazine from Barcelona stands out with their unique blend of progressive rock, jazz, funk, and Latin, combined with humor and virtuosity. Their colorful, energetic live performances feel like a psychedelic circus full of creativity and visual spectacle. The album Amazingous showcases their inventive compositions and playful style. Fans of prog rock looking for something different should definitely not miss one of their concerts. For fans of Spock’s Beard, Faith No More, and Frank Zappa.

SYMFO / FOLK ROCK / PSYCHEDELICA (ZWE)
Since their founding in 2013, Agusa has established itself as a prominent name in the Swedish psychedelic prog scene, both nationally and internationally. With a unique style, their music takes you back to the 1970s while simultaneously exploring new, uncharted horizons. It combines meditative, gentle passages with epic climaxes and, occasionally, a dark, intense atmosphere.
